DMCA Policy

Effective Date: February 11, 2026

Perfect Strangers (“Perfect Strangers”, “we”, “us”) respects intellectual property rights and expects users and partners to do the same. This policy describes our procedures under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512 (the “DMCA”), for reporting alleged infringement on websites and online services we operate that link to this policy (the “Site”).

1) Designated DMCA Agent

Perfect Strangers’s Designated Agent to receive notifications of alleged infringement (“DMCA Agent”) is:

Name/Role: Copyright Agent

Email: dmca@perfectstrangersmedia.com

2) Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice (Copyright Owner or Authorized Agent)

If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, send a written DMCA Takedown Notice to the DMCA Agent that includes all of the following (see 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

  1. Signature: A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
  2. Identify the work: Identification of the copyrighted work(s) claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list.
  3. Identify the material: Identification of the material or activity claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (e.g., specific URL(s)).
  4. Your contact information: Name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. Good‑faith statement: A statement that you have a good‑faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. Accuracy & authority statement (under penalty of perjury): A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

Format & delivery. Email is preferred. Notices that are incomplete, unclear, or that fail to include the elements above may be ineffective.

To help us process your notice quickly and safely, please:

  • Provide specific URLs where the material appears (not just a home page).
  • Do not send executable files or password-protected archives; standard document or image formats are sufficient.
  • If the material is hosted on a third-party platform (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify), you should also submit a notice to that platform following its DMCA procedures.

To help us process your noNon‑copyright issues. The DMCA covers copyright only (not trademarks, publicity/privacy, or other rights). For non‑copyright issues, contact us at info@perfectstrangersmedia.com.

3) Our Response to a Valid Notice

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we may remove or disable access to the identified material and, where appropriate, notify the user or entity that posted the material. We may terminate repeat infringers as described below. We may also provide a copy of the notice to the user who posted the material.

We are not required to adjudicate disputes and may decline to restore content absent a valid Counter‑Notice or a clear resolution between the parties.

We may keep copies of notices, counter-notices, and related correspondence as permitted by law.

4) Submitting a Counter‑Notice (User Who Posted Material)

If material you posted was removed or disabled due to a DMCA notice and you believe the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may send a written Counter‑Notice to the DMCA Agent that includes all of the following (see 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3)):

  1. Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identify the material: Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access disabled (e.g., specific URL(s)).
  3. Perjury statement: A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good‑faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material.
  4. Jurisdiction & service: Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the U.S., for any judicial district in which Perfect Strangers may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice or that person’s agent.

Restoration. If we receive a valid Counter‑Notice, we may restore the material within 10–14 business days, unless the original complainant informs us that they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain you from engaging in infringing activity.

5) Repeat Infringer Policy

In appropriate circumstances, it is our policy to terminate users or accounts deemed to be repeat infringers. We may deem a user a repeat infringer, for example, if we receive multiple valid notices regarding that user within a reasonable period or a single egregious infringement. We also reserve the right to remove content or disable access by any user who infringes others’ rights, whether or not repeat infringement is involved.

6) Standard Technical Measures

We will accommodate and not interfere with standard technical measures used by copyright owners to protect their works, as defined in 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), provided such measures do not impose substantial costs or burdens on the Site.

7) Important Disclaimers

  • No legal advice. This policy is informational and does not constitute legal advice.
  • Accuracy of notices. Submitting knowing misrepresentations in a notice or counter‑notice may expose you to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
  • Third‑party platforms. Some content displayed on the Site (e.g., embedded video or audio players) may be hosted by third‑party services. If the allegedly infringing material is hosted by a third party (not Perfect Strangers), you may also need to submit a notice directly to that service.
  • Forwarding & transparency. We may forward complete notices (including contact information) to the user who posted the material and, for transparency, may submit a copy to a public database (e.g., the Lumen Database). We will not do so where prohibited by law.

8) Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent to dmca@perfectstrangersmedia.com. For speed and accuracy, please include “DMCA” in the subject line when writing about alleged infringement.
